Map of Hive Confronsis

You can rarely trust cartographers; particularly those of House Moff – notorious delinquents, the lot of them...
Fr. Kossety; priest of Murder Falls Parish (dec.)

As the title suggests, this is a map of the hive in which the action's happening. I've flagged up a few places; but it's a big location – each of the regions you can see here is roughly the size of a British county.

Important places

Spyres

Dwelling-place of the noble houses: Serpentine, Graveney, Ur, Falconbrook, tegeus-Cromis and Neckinger; as well as the hive governor.

Few gang members think of the Spyres as anything beyond pipe-dreams; and if you've ever slept in a pipe, you'll know it's not the most comfortable. To a banger of House Ordovic, you may as well dream of the Emperor himself tucking you into a feather bed as to see the Spyres.

For the inhabitants themselves, no luxury is unknown – thought given the systematic and colossally corrupt web of intrigue and deception in which a spyrer must be born, it can hardly be relaxing.

The Nobbes

The cream of the industrotech house – and other things that rise to the top – can be found in these exclusive regions near hiveskin. The region is crested by the hive's main space-port, Traitor's Fate – though there are a number of subsidiary ports dotted across the hive skin, including Gate's Wicca and Griffon's Door ports.

It is a region that is relatively hospitable; with ready access to the transport systems and public amenities. A typical inhabitant of the Nobbes has an average lifespan of nearly forty-five; and can expect free use of the Hive Health Service; though waiting times are typically in the order of five decades.

Gens

A junction for the massive reactor-divertors, the Gens are the region from which almost all power (excepting hiveskin solar/wind etc.; and the innumerable personal generators of inhabitants) in the hive derives. Adjacent regions are blasted by horrifying radiation; though most hivedwellers regard that as an acceptable compromise for the prospect of a life without heating bills.

The Gens themselves are impassable – being essentially a colossal series of interlinked caverns filled with discharging plasma and radiation that would render an unprotected gang member to their constituent atoms in short order.

The Gens form a barrier between Widder habs and Uro Bloc and a necessary one, given the regions mutual hatred.
